At the confusing age of 18, Paxton loses his voice and his mother drops a bombshell regarding his father that would not be out of place in a soap opera. Somehow this leads him to Lumiose City, where he'll have to develop parkour skills, become the insomniac of all time, interact with the local wildlife without dying, acquire the highly coveted 24-karat LaChespin, and avoid getting successfully rizzed up by the extremely friendly hotel influencer. He can probably survive all of that except the last one.
Huh? Go find his dad? Fat chance.

Summary
Ichigo didn't think anything stranger could happen in his life after discovering that the afterlife was real, that a bunch of katana-wielding lunatics were guiding souls to the afterlife, and that monsters apparently existed and literally wanted to eat your soul. And now he had to hunt them down with powers that weren't his, to begin with.
Then he had to backtrack when he was forced to invade the cursed other world to save his friend, and to top it all off, fight a megalomaniacal lunatic with delusions of grandeur, losing those powers in the process.
After that, he thought nothing else strange could happen.
He had to learn to keep his mouth shut because now he was in a room with friends and enemies alike, with another lunatic forcing them to read a book supposedly from another world in order to get out.
He just wanted to be able to finish high school in peace. Was that too much to ask?
