Summary
He was fine! He'd been fine the entire time they were on Earth, at least, right up until the battle of Mission City, but after that there was no time to think about it. The dent was straightened out and his plating was cleaned, and they had to worry about the Fallen. However, after the battle in Cairo where he'd seen Prime die and had fiery hell rained upon them when the humans tried to drive back the Decepticon forces, it got worse, whatever it was.
Ironhide's still not too sure what it is, however.

Summary
When it started, Optimus hardly noticed. Everything had been business as usual—a skirmish with the Decepticons over a power plant, trading blows with Megatron, a post-battle debrief with both the local human law enforcement and the Autobots back at the Ark, removing the dent he could feel in his battlemask before Ratchet could see it and drag him off to the medbay. Nothing really out of the ordinary. At least, not until he was cleaning up afterwards and retracted his battlemask to wash his face.
Had his jawline always been that soft?
