There’s a fire beneath the water that pricked at her eyes. Her nails ground against the floor as her stomach cramped. Her back curled upwards as her head filled with fog. She couldn’t focus on it, not when her left hand still tightly held onto her temporarily deceased guardian.
Her head tilts up meeting Matt’s worried gaze, “Elena. Your eyes.”
“What?” she almost growls, her mind still numb as her insides knotted themselves together.
”They’re…” Matt hesitates as he stands back up from his squat position, “They’re yellow.”

Summary
During the months after the sacrifice, Elena, Caroline, Bonnie and Jeremy took a trip out of Mystic Falls to grieve and recover. They ended up in New Orleans where Elena and Marcel became true friends.
They’ve kept in touch over the years, especially with Elena and Davina’s past as sacrifices creating their deep friendship. How long can they avoid Klaus finding out and letting the paranoia get the best of him?

Summary

Despite destiny saying they should be enemies the two kids formed an unbreakable bond becoming each other's family. After their escape the two end up in Mystic Falls where they meet some interesting people. Despite how hard they've fought they'll realize they've never been able to change their fate.
