Macaque and Wukong could only tolerate the other in one of two ways: violently or sexually. Sometimes both. Their agreement was just another way for the both of them to blow off some steam, so long as they kept it hush-hush. That's all it was- sex and nothing more.

Summary
Wukong had sensed a gradual change in Macaque’s scent, an alluring sweetness that overwhelmed him. It was something he couldn’t quite articulate, and the new intensity of this feeling felt like a heavy burden. He tried to keep their interactions close and casual, while seeking more of that elusive scent, but doing so without drawing Macaque’s attention was proving to be quite difficult.

Summary
As punishment for stealing the map to the Samadhi Fire, Wukong is tasked with retrieving the artifacts stolen by the Lady Bone Demon and returning them to the Celestial Realm.
It's an endeavor that will take some time to accomplish, and MK insists on coming along. But when finding one of the items proves difficult, MK suggests enlisting the help of the one and only...Macaque.

Summary
The Six-Eared Macaque was not a demon to be underestimated, he was cunning and powerful and he was not known for his mercy. He had defeated demons ten times his size and he had been a thorn in the side of the Monkey King for the entirety of his second life.
And yet none of this meant anything to his self-appointed therapy cat, Hibiscus.
She was possibly the most annoying addition to his new life, and for a life that involved MK and Mei, that was really saying something.
Macaque would really just like to continue his search for answers. His therapy cat would very much prefer he got his act together first.

Summary
Not one to waste time on things he didn't understand he turned back to the monkey still hanging limp in his arms and decided the best course of action was to take him with him to Flower Fruit Mountain. There was no better place for a monkey to be after all! He told his unknowing audience as much as he threw him over his shoulder.
Monkey King is excited to find another monkey like him. Macaque is decidedly less so.

Summary
The black cat yowled as something big and heavy landed on his back, breaking his stride and sending him sprawling to the forest floor, scrambling to get up. He was stopped by a big paw hitting his flank, striking him down again and keeping him down even as he writhed and hissed and spat. Every attack he tried bounced uselessly off the gold-red tiger’s stone skin, doing little more than shearing some fur off, but there was no room in his mind to try any other escape.
Sharp but gentle teeth closed swiftly around the scruff of his neck, and—stupid cat instincts—immobilized his body, gasping for breath as his muscles froze and did not let go, mind going horribly numb except for stay still, stay still, stay still.
Or: Wukong is getting in the way of Macaque getting some much-needed rest. Ironically, Wukong is the one trying to give it to him.

Summary
Monkey King just leaned back, a thoughtful look on his face as he considered this, before waving them off, "Nah. That doesn't sound right. I'm definitely older at this point. Just look at how long I've been alive!"
Ma was incensed, "Liu, Ba, someone hold me back! I can't be held responsible for what I'll do to this dumbass otherwise!"
MK couldn't help but smile, albeit a little unsurely, this didn't sound like a serious argument at all.
Monkey King's talk with all of them must have gone better than he had thought! They couldn't be that mad at him if they were all here together bickering over something so silly, right?
Flower Fruit Mountain's generals and marshals have returned and after thoroughly berating Wukong for not keeping them updated they are all keen to get to know the newest member of the troupe.

Summary
Wukong could still remember the first time he’d ever seen all six of Macaque’s ears. The wild orchids were barely starting to sprout in the spring, the air still sharp with the last wisps of winter as they clung desperately to the earth, ultimately defied by the delicate blossoms. The Brotherhood had been formed years ago, but so much time had passed since then it was hard to remember exactly how long it had been. Long enough to start calling themselves brothers, certainly.
He wasn’t even sure how Macaque was even asleep, out cold on the steps that led down into their training courtyard in a horrific position, like he’d fallen asleep halfway through unwrapping his hands, the sheen of sweat already cooled along his brow.
It was the perfect setup for a prank, and who would Wukong be to pass up such an opportunity? He’d probably get punched for it, but who cares, really?
So, he leaned down, pushed the thick mane away from the available…
Wukong froze.
… Ears?
Or: Short story about Wukong and Macaque slowly get to catching up and deciding how they feel about each other after... everything

Summary
Wukong and Macaque were never very concerned about the demons that intruded on their home. There was no fight they couldn't win, and it made Flower Fruit Mountain the safest place on Earth. But winning doesn't stop Macaque from being flesh and blood, and safe doesn't mean the fights don't leave scars.

In the depths of his mind, he tried to reach the ghost of laughter on a beach, but the tide continued to sweep it away with hysterical laughter and the violent collision of staffs.
“I’m not sure.”
“Do you want to be?”
His silence was heavy as he contemplated the question. A choice. It’s always been one, he knows. Still, his answer came out forlorn. Vacant.

Her eyes were only on Macaque, "I don't know what I'm angrier about. The fact that you trauma dumped on MK and then just left him alone to deal with it or that after that you just disappeared for a week ignoring us trying to check in on you.
Do you have any idea how much you upset MK? Or how worried we were about you?"
Taking another angry step forward she burst out, "I thought you were supposed to be better than Monkey King!"
