“You’re quiet today,” Tom observed, and Tord only jumped a little.
He hesitated for a moment, then hummed in acknowledgment. This conversation couldn’t happen; he was afraid of what would come out if he opened his mouth.
“Can two boys have sex?” Tord asked, his own voice much louder than he’d expected. “With each other?”
He thought he could hear even Susan go silent. There was a very long pause, one in which Tord felt himself break out in a cold sweat.
Tom finally spoke, though it wasn’t much. “Uh.”

He doesn't know who he is. He doesn't know where he is. But based on the wanted posters scattered across the town, he can tell he's a wanted man. And even if it might be broken now, the useless red gun in his hands has some kind of value.
Thankfully, the names on the wanted posters give him something to go off of.

Tord freezes, mentally straining to try and hold eye contact. “Oh… really?” His nerves are screaming, body fighting the urge to just collapse into his arms. Tom's demeanour completely changed within a sentence, and it's already making Tord weak.
“Yeah.” Tom nods, a hand raising up slowly. “Which is why I know what you want.”
