Summary
For the sake of peace, Lumière needs to find a human Omega willing to marry the Painter Lord known as the Maskkeeper. When Gustave volunteers, he's willing to hope for the best from his new husband, but even he isn't expecting to marry the love of his life in the process.
(Or: I set out to write monsterfucking and somehow, improbably, wrote 11k words of monsterromancing instead. This is simultaneously size kink monsterfucking and possibly the tenderest smut I've ever written. I'm as mystified as anyone else by this.)

Summary
In 1903, a twenty-four year old Verso Dessendre goes to a bar to prove to himself that he isn't gay. When he instead gets taken under Gustave's experienced, deeply slutty wing and ridden to within an inch of his life, he is not exactly inclined to complain about this.
(Or: Masken said a single sentence and I responded with 5k of porn. You know, like a normal person?)

Summary
Within the Canvas, when a fated Alpha/Omega soulmate pair goes into their rut and heat, they share sensations regardless of any distance between them. Verso decides he can't afford to have a mate if he wants to see his plans through. Gustave decides that if his Alpha doesn't want to have anything to do with him, he's not going to spend his heats alone. This results in a truly incredible amount of jerking off and pining on both parts.
(Or: Ethan said "omega Gustave, domso and SLUT gustave" in the New Lumiere discord server, I set out to write what was supposed to be a short PWP in response, and then I lost control of my life and writing. Omegaverse slutstave goes brr.)

Summary
Gustave doesn't mean to gain knowledge of a world beyond his own. He's looking for an obscure book on engineering, actually, when it starts, and his hand brushes up against another book on the shelf. The touch jostles the book, and it falls to the floor, and Gustave picks it up—
He doesn't mean to read it. He can't read it; it's written in a language he doesn't know when he actually looks at the words. But when he doesn't look too hard at the words themselves—
He reads the book.

Summary
After years of work, Aline Dessendre (head of the painter's guild) has successfully used the latest in painted technology to unveil a train that will travel across the cosmos in mere moments, bringing humanity to the farthest reaches of the stars. Only, oddly, on the day of its maiden voyage she's seen arguing with her son-in-law and former chief engineer Gustave, who needs to be dragged away screaming about the fact that the train should never run.
Of course everyone understands that Aline would never be willing to give up on the project; it was what her son, Verso, was working on before his tragic demise at the hand of Writers, the same tragic demise that drove the wedge between her and Gustave. She's been very vocal about the fact that this journey is being carried out in his honor, and nothing will stop the train.
Of course, the fact that Verso is alive onboard the train, or at least that part of him is? That part almost no one knows.

Summary
Otherwise known as: the 'Pledge verse.
Fic titles are stolen from two different songs: Sun in an Empty Room by The Weakerthans, and Like the Dawn by The Oh Hellos. The series title is also cribbed from that first song. I claim no originality in my naming choices, and highly recommend both songs to anybody who wants to give them a listen.

Summary
One quiet winter afternoon, a strangely-dressed man with an aureole over his head falls out of the sky.
Or: Verso thought that it would all end after he expelled Maelle from the Canvas and put the Soul Fragment to rest. Fate seems to have other ideas. Finding himself somewhere else entirely, he has to deal with the unbearable chains of life weighing on him once more.

Summary
The god of burdens has fallen in love with the god of verdure, but he cannot exist outside the Monolith for long. This is of no consequence, for they still have their time together, short as it always is.
Verso would climb out of the Heart again and again to see Gustave again.

Summary
You first notice the flowers in the morning of the first night that you spend back in your bed. They are hard to miss: dark-crimson petals litter the floor of your bedroom. The air smells of roses. You rub your face with your hand. A dark red rose appears, fully formed and fresh, on your bed covers. You do not think of it. You close your eyes and will yourself back to sleep.
After Sophie's death, Gustave takes to making flowers appear out of thin air instead of talking about his feelings.

Summary
Gustave bought the painting on a rainy Thursday because it was easier to stand among abandoned things than return to an apartment that never felt like his own. He didn't expect the grand piano on the canvas to play itself at midnight. He didn't expect the white roses to multiply.
And he certainly didn't expect Verso—the man trapped inside the ballroom, preserved in oil and grief by a mother who couldn't let go.
In a world that feels half-erased by the rain, two lonely souls find each other across the edge of a gilded frame. But to truly be together, Verso must confront the memory that painted him into a masterpiece and learn what it means to be a person again, rather than just a portrait.
