It started as all things did, a visit to Diagon Alley; purchasing sweets for the children at St. Mungo's and then a questionable chase, protests from many witches and wizards who had lost their most precious valuables, the ominous and dreadful Knockturn Alley and then finally, Borgin and Burkes; a pendant and then Hazel Potter no longer belonged to a world of magic and wonder, no prophecies, no murderous Dark Lord, and most certainly not the Mistress of Death—or so she believed.
