Summary
And there was Viktor himself. He sat at the window, back to them, still as a statue. His hair was still long, to his shoulders, and he wore a red prison uniform that hung loosely on his small frame. The sun caught the light streaks in his hair and two butterflies danced outside the window.
“Viktor,” Jayce breathed out, relief settling in him at last.
Viktor turned. Jayce saw his own desperation reflected on Viktor’s face. They were moving towards each other, magnets pulled together with no other choice.
He was warm and slight in Jayce’s arms. His hair smelt clean and faintly of citrus. He could feel Viktor’s heartbeat against his own. He shut his eyes and pulled him closer, willing them to merge. Viktor buried his face in his shoulder. He was trembling.
Or the Arcane spits Viktor and Jayce back out after ten years have passed. No one knows what to do with them, themselves included. Between the tensions in the Undercity, remains of Viktor's cult, and too much politics, they try to find a way to live again.

“Father Viktor has brought back all those programs you whined about missing. The East Hall is being converted into a soup kitchen as we speak, and after Mass there’s going to be an open-doors Christmas meal,” his mother says wistfully, drinking in a sip from her mug.
Jayce is going to have to see that for himself. His high income neighborhood and the prestigious, self-righteous families that attend the Church? Rubbing elbows with people in need for the holidays?
Maybe he really does need to meet Father Viktor. And shake his hand.

The more he helps, the more Jayce sees glimpses of Viktor, the man, not the priest. And the more glimpses he sees of Viktor, the more Jayce is so, so fucked.

Jayce grinned but all the comedy and affection was gone. His hands tightened around Viktor's waist. “But I found your mare, and I almost envied her lost rider, figurin’ him dead. And then I found you, and I realized what a fucking sign it was.”
Viktor caught his breath. There must have been some mistake, some mixed up sense of mysticism. A line of coincidences for a man at the end of his rope literally and figuratively did not necessarily mean it was an all encompassing sign. Viktor's heart broke that Jayce's hope, the thing that had pulled him from the edge, was nothing but a murderer chased to the ends of the earth.
“Jayce…” Viktor sighed, lifting a hand to caress Jayce's cheek. The hairs of his beard parted with a roughness that was unusual.
Jayce grabbed hold of Viktor's hand, squeezing with the strength of a dying man. “Don't try to break my heart to absolve yourself of some guilt over the mistakes you've made. ‘Cause I don't want you perfect. I want you as you are, as I know you.”

Jayce disclosed to Viktor early in their partnership that he wasn't the beta he was pretending to be. Given the stigma around male omegas, Jayce hides his secondary gender, for fear of being tainted as "a mutation". Viktor, no stranger to being looked at like he was made 'wrong', takes it upon himself to free Jayce from his societal norms, and even liberate him into embracing his omega-ness.
Naturally, he does this by way of replacing Jayce's heat suppressants with fertility drugs. How will these react to a body not made for child bearing? Well, that's the joy of experimentation.

Summary
I ain't got an idea for the name of this. I started writing this fic in a private discord server (of 2 people LOL) and decided to put it up onto Ao3.
Jayce is a whiny bottom bitch Omega that was never treated like one (so he's just whiny because he's never felt god cuz of another person before), his dad is still alive, both of his parents are Alphas.
Viktor is still an orphan but sort of an adopted child of Vander/Silco as well but goes by Viktor Reveck professionally to honor his mentor (who in this AU isn't Singed and still lauded as a brilliant professor).
Caitlyn and her mother (who is also fine), are alphas while her father is an Omega. Caitlyn and Vi are an A/A relationship.
(TimeBomb isn't planned as of yet but who knows if I can keep it up)
IMPORTANT BIOLOGY NOTE: All omegas have fertility moles that can determine their breedability basically. They are typically somewhere that isn't visible to individuals outside of VERY close friends, family or partners. There's also gonna be some description of Omega biology here and there hopefully it makes sense.
I'll shut up now.
