He thinks he decides, anyway. He must, mustn’t he? There’s no other reason for him to just stop replying to people, even when they’re speaking directly to him. Even when they’re asking him questions, questions that require an answer, and getting more and more baffled and irritated right there in front of him and eventually throw up their hands in disgust and turn around and walk away.
