Hermione is one investor pitch away from changing her life, and all she’s got to do now is make it through the week. She’s practiced her presentation more times than she could reasonably count—in the mirror and on FaceTime with her best friends (and at least once to a very confused barista). At this point, the term "quality adjusted life years" bounces around her brain in her sleep.
She’s prepared for every question they could throw at her and then some, fully convinced she’s accounted for the unexpected.
It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there, doubly so for women in femtech (#girlboss!)—and she’s ready for the vaguely misogynistic questions and polite condescension.
What she’s not ready for is losing her iPad in the back of a charming Uber driver’s car.
Or what it will cost her to get it back.
Her entire future rides on this trip. Just… not quite in the way she expects.
