Jo Euishin had recently read in an article that people were said to witness their lives in a quick flash just before their ends, and how, some rare individuals who had managed to come back to life in a matter of seconds, mentioned the feeling of serenity, and of a long, still silence.
It was silent around him.
If so, if he reminisced about his family now, would that mean he could meet them quickly too?
Jo Euishin felt his consciousness slowly fade away with the thought.

Even Jeokho and Kim Shinrok had, oddly enough, accompanied him to school a few times by now, and the former had even come to pick him up after classes—when Hwang Jiho was already by his side.
'I can't tell.'
He didn't understand what the problem was, or if there was even any problem.
He felt rather odd these days.
It wasn't like this earlier, but now, in the absence of any sudden and continuous scenarios without a break, Jo Euishin found himself thinking back to his past world often.
The days he had spent alone, dousing himself in painkillers, compared to now, when he had trouble fending off so many others from tracking him.

Placing the school bag by his side, he put his head down on the desk.
Confirming the alarm and the properly locked door, he decided to put aside his thoughts for now, falling into slumber quickly.

Wow, Rocky thinks. Human affection is so improper.
Grace has changed his name (alright, the name given to him by Grace in the first place) in a frivolous display of care. Nevermind rare– on Erid, this is unheard of.
Rocky’s side of the xenonite tunnel steams.
“Thank you.” He says, bravely. “I’ll still call you Grace.”
Laughing again, Grace says, “That’s alright. ‘Grace’ is sort of a nickname anyway, since my full name is Ryland Grace.”
Fuck, Rocky thinks.
It should be embarrassing, or awkward, this sudden expression of closeness between them. Mostly, it just feels right.

Jo-Gul looks angry. Why is he angry?
Something is wrong.
Chung Myung knew in the back of his mind that he had overlooked something. There is something Jo-Gul had seen that he didn’t. It doesn't help that he can’t think properly right now. Not with the continuous buzz in his head. Not with the tears streaming down his face. Wait..
With a hand, Chung Myung wiped the few tears that had slid down his cheek. Willing himself to stay optimistic about the situation. He has to get out of here.
“I am Cho Sol, Cho Sam’s older brother. I did not know you changed your name Sam-ah!”
Cho Sol took his hand and gave Chung Myung’s back a large slap. Laughing loudly, he continued conversing.
“You know, this fool had run away from us over a year ago! Now I learn he’s changed his name and is out wandering around where? Mount Hua? Do you know how to even wield a sword, Sam-ah?”
Chung Myung listened to his teasing words, making eye contact with Jo-Gul once again. Without tears this time, he had already made one mistake. Jo-Gul did not look any less relieved; in fact, he looked angrier. His gaze was set on where Cho Sol had his hand on Chung Myung’s back.

Everyone kept acting weird once they got the time travel memories! The only explanation was that it had to do with the Hail Mary. He wanted to know why.
"You know the project is going to succeed. Is that not enough." Carl, the traitor, raised an eyebrow like he wasn't affected by Ryland's pleas.
"Ok but what do they find? What are the astronauts going to find up there that we can't replicate?" Ryland asked for the umpteenth time. They were all so tight lipped about it! If they already had the answer why don't they just implement it now, why wait almost thirty years?
Carl just laughed, again, like he always did. "You know, you'd already know that if you remembered it," he teased.
Ryland huffed. Fine then! "When I get my own time-travel memories I wont tell you everything I know, see how you like it!"
Weirdly - It was never anything normal with these people! - Carl just smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. "I can't wait."

She flinched back from the door at the memory, his scream ringing in her ears. If she went back to Scyther, gave him no choice, she could take him and make him analyse the astrophage. She could slip some hints to another team, convince them to investigate Venus and find out how they breed. It’d be someone else who became the worlds leading expert on astrophage - It would always be astrophage, she would pass no other name to the world leaders - and Dr Grace would be none the wiser. He would just be another face in the crowd. He’d be one out of a million, but he’d be safe.
“Should I really do this?” she asked the empty air.
The air chuckled, wheat-gold hair and sky blue eyes crinkled in amusement. “You already know the answer, you always have. You never needed my advice,” he teased, voice lilting in the same musical tones that underpinned the words of an alien friend.

PTECHROMIA (expresses through colour) meeting ERIDIANS (expressing through sound) and Grace(tm) the guy that can hear and see limitedly lol"Is your program malfunctioning?" Rocky asked bluntly, waving his image-to-texture camera around in annoyance. "This is nothing to me. Random static with random colors." The other two people with image-to-texture cameras signaled their confused agreement.
"I think they're celebrating," Grace said. "They're moving around energetically. And they can change the color of their skin! That's what's making it so hard for you to parse. They're flashing a ton of different colors with no pattern. There are a few Earth animals that can change their skin color, chameleons and some kinds of octopus, as a way of hiding from predators. It’s very rare and very cool to see.”
“Doesn’t human skin also change color?” Rocky asked. “You said your skin turns red when you are hot or embarrassed.”
“That’s different,” Grace said. “That’s involuntary, it’s just a side effect of blood moving around. This appears to be much more pronounced and intentional and fast. That has to be how they communicate in colors! They must have a really precise control over it to use it that way. Wow, that’s gorgeous.”
