"That's it," she whispered huskily, sweeping a hand down his chest then raking her nails back up to loosely wrap around his throat, feeling the bulge of the toy beneath her touch. "Perfect."

After the events in New York, the DSO has once again allowed Leon to “go on vacation”, which at this point was just code for “sit around and wait for a phone call”. He had refused Chris’s invitation to visit him and his not so subtle attempt to set him up to see his sister, instead he opted to return to the mountains. Behind him, the afternoon sun shone through the full length windows overlooking the ski-slope. Most of the lodge guests were out there, enjoying the fresh powder and sunshine.
Leon tipped back his glass, savoring the burn of the alcohol. It distracted him from the aching weight of emptiness that had been clawing at his chest since he got off the plane.
