Summary
October 1998. The war is over, the survivors are picking up the pieces, and Severus Snape is trying very hard to leave an Order party without talking to anyone.
He fails.
Two thirds of the Golden Trio find him in the corner with his Ogden's. Potter is missing a shoe. Weasley ends up on the floor. And somewhere in the middle of the chaos, Snape learns that Hermione Granger, the most relentlessly present person he'd ever had the misfortune of teaching, has been standing silent at the back of the room all evening; hiding behind her hair, slipping away before anyone could look at her too closely.
She didn't ask for his concern. She probably doesn't want it. He goes looking for her anyway.
What he finds in the overgrown garden of Grimmauld Place will change the carefully reconstructed shape of his post-war life.
Updates will be posted every Sunday. I try to read and reply to comments as you write them, but sometimes dang life gets in the way. I promise to reply to your kind words with the next update. Pinky swear!
I own nothing. Not the rights to the Harry Potter universe, not to the Cure songs, not to the Killers lyrics. I'm just playing with the world these artists created.

Summary
*** Complete as of 11th May 2026 ***
Hermione Granger has built a good life. A career she loves, a family she'd chosen, a kitchen that feels like home. The Ministry's marriage law threatens to upend all of it.
Matched anonymously via charmed parchment designed to encourage increasingly honest communication between strangers, Hermione finds herself corresponding with a man who is infuriating, brilliant, and uncomfortably perceptive. He sees things in her she's barely admitted to herself. She's not sure whether to be fascinated or alarmed. Possibly both.
The problem is Severus Snape, who has reappeared in her life after years of absence, and who is making it extraordinarily difficult to focus on a Ministry mandated future with someone she's never met.
The other problem is that she's falling for them both.
A slow burn marriage law fic told mostly in a single room, through charmed parchment, terrible pancakes, punk music, and two people who are considerably better at being honest with strangers than with themselves.
"The charm is becoming considerably less useful as a filter. I've stopped being surprised."

Summary
The first thing she notices is not the cut of his robes, or the way he has his hair styled, cropped close on the sides but long on the top. It’s not his expensive dragon leather shoes that shine nearly iridescent in the light, or the sharp caress of his grey eyes as they flit over her face with the speed and reflexes of a seasoned Seeker.
It's the ink that peeks out above the crisp collar of his shirt. It’s a flash of blue against his pale skin, the only drop of color on his body.
That she can see.
It takes Hermione several minutes to focus well enough to drag her eyes away, lest she get caught with her jaw on the sticky floor of the pub they’re both standing in. Something tells her there's more color hidden behind the flat black of his suit and robes. There has to be, considering the intricate design that creeps up his neck like tendrils of blue smoke.

Summary
Five years post war and on the heels of her engagement falling apart, the Golden Girl’s reputation is now tarnished in the eyes of the wizarding world. Hermione loses everything from what little privacy she had left to her job at the DMLE, all because Ron Weasley couldn’t keep it in his pants.
Now, she’s taken a job offer from Minerva to help two professors with their classes:
Remus Lupin whose transformations have only gotten worse since the end of the war and struggles the week of the full moon to even get out of bed and Severus Snape who is dealing with the paralytic nature of Nagini’s venom still coursing through his veins.Between the three of them, they have scars that will never heal, trauma that seems to haunt them in the dead of night, and reputations that cling to them no matter what they do to show they’re not who people think they are.
Perhaps together, they’ll finally find the peace they fought for and a little love along the way. If the secrets they’re keeping don’t tear them apart and the person targeting those around Hermione doesn’t kill them first.

Summary
Hermione could remember seeing the mark on the back of Remus' hand during third year. Pink. Raw. Its shape reminiscent of an exploding star. Its colour and sheen reminded her of new skin revealed beneath a peeling sunburn. Taut. Shiny. Like it is still too tight to stretch over the recently healed area. She would stare at it during lectures, wondering what might have caused such a unique scar.
or the one in which Hermione finds out she had two soulmates and just so happened to move into their spare room.
