“Speaking of rumors,” Riyo said while nibbling on the remaining chicken nugget. She should have gotten more. “There’s talk about someone falling from the sphere again.” The other two raised silent eyebrows and she shrugged at the unasked questions. “Dunno. I believe some traffickers claim they found a Sphereite, alive, apparently.”
Zanka scoffed. “Sounds pretty fake if you ask me. Probably just want to squeeze money out of people and end up giving them a skeleton they found in No Man’s Land. Who survives a fall from the sky?”
Riyo shrugged again. “It’s just rumors.”
Enjin rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “I like rumors,” he said. “Should probably go check it out.”

Or: What if Rudo hadn't gotten picked up by Enjin in No Man's Land but was instead captured by the traffickers and the Cleaners rescue him later on.

Summary
Link hasn’t got a lot left to him considering the state of his fragmented memory, but he does know a few things for certain at the moment.
1. The Ja’Abu Ridge hinox is mysteriously absent from its usual location.
2. The eight travelers distracted him enough that he broke his ankle fighting a regular lynel of all things.
3. They’re looking for the hero.
4. In his opinion, they can kindly mind their own business, and if they refuse, he can always have Zelda tell them. Tell them that the hero died a full century ago. Perhaps then they’ll leave him alone.

Princess Zelda sighed, stood, and rounded her desk to place a gentle hand on Legend's shoulder. “Because he's embarrassed.”
“I am not -”
“You are,” Zelda corrected him. “You hate the idea of anyone knowing the truth about you, and you're scared to death that one day someone's going to let the entire country know, and you won't be able to escape it anymore.”
Legend crossed his arms and looked away, clearly unhappy, but didn't argue further.
“If he don’t want to tell us that bad,” Twilight began cautiously, “you don’t gotta -”
“Oh, yes, he does.” Princess Zelda gave Legend’s shoulder a squeeze. “He’ll have to get used to the idea eventually.”
Or: Legend has a secret. Fable is very tired of helping him keep it.

Several weeks ago, Link, Hero of Legend, rode out alone to face a horde of new, black-blooded monsters. (
He never came back)
Now, he appears to have returned, joined by 8 heroes from across time.
Yet... something in his eyes... something in his magic ...
Everything is not as it seems.
(And Link is in deep, deep trouble)OR Fable and the Chain join forces to save Legend. Protective Chain, OP Zelda, and confused Legend ensue. (+ Zelda's sword practice being put to good use!!)
OR Dark Link's plan is about to be blown to pieces
