Summary
In his ear, Oracle shouted at him about healing. An eye for an eye, Skadi used Deadly Fury. Ren’s feet, clumsy with exhaustion and pain, struggled as he tried to trip back, tried to duck away, but in almost slow-motion a sharp force cleaved down towards him and he felt frozen.
And then, from his left, a bellow of “Joker!” and steel-toed boots kicking him aside with a leap, sending him sprawling on the casino floor.
He heard Panther scream and Ryuji make a pained noise that cut off in a breathy choke, but he didn’t see it actually happen. All he knew was that when he turned back to look, Ryuji was on the floor, motionless.
Protect: Chance to shield Joker from an otherwise fatal attack.

Summary
Ren squeezed out the last of the Nohar-M tube into his hand (he’d have to make this one stretch) and spread a palm over Ryuji’s stomach. Ryuji let his eyes flutter shut at the sensation of a kind hand and cool gel. The silence, however, was unnerving. His throat went tight.
“H- hey,” He managed, “Whatever you’re pissed about can you… can you just yell and get it over with? I don’t— I don’t know why you’re mad at me but I don’t want to fight.”
“… I’m not mad,” Ren said, very very quietly, “And I’m not going to yell.”
“You seem mad…”
“I’m worried.”
That was rare. Ren never worried. Or at least never said he was.
When a Palace collapses, it signifies its place in the Metaverse combining with its rightful place in the real world. The line between cognition and reality becomes blurred, and unfortunately for Ryuji, that means getting caught in a very real explosion.

“Well, well,” he murmured, a smirk curling faintly at the edge of his lips. “My ears fooled me when I heard something about kindness, then.”
“My price is awfully low.”
“What is it?”
“Answers, vampire,” she said.
The fire cracked, a single spark breaking the silence that followed.
“It is a terrible price indeed, witch."
or,
Rumi is a witch that lives secluded in a forest, far from eyes, sight and doubts. When a vampire stumbles on her porch, assisting him is just helping another creature - but two old hearts might beat the same, after all this time.

Summary
Mira looked at Rumi now in that uncanny way of hers, as if she knew exactly what she was feeling. “Will you tell her about Jinu?”
The dull pulse turned into a pang. Along the ridges of her skin, she felt her patterns ripple with iridescent color. The shimmer of them refracted with the natural light of the room.
“I don’t know,” Rumi whispered. “I…I want to, but what would she say? I’m worried she’ll…” She sighed. “I want her to know. He’s—” Part of me. “He’s family.”
The ache in her chest ebbed away and morphed into something soft and warm. What that meant, she decided she didn’t understand, but she kept the feeling until it engulfed her.

Or, months after the Idol Awards, Jinu has returned to Rumi as a soul entwined in her sword. Zoey and Mira have learned to accept him. Still, a trip to honor her mother's grave forces Rumi to finally face Celine, for whom Jinu becomes a reminder of Ryu Mi-yeong, the friend she lost to Rumi's demon father.

The exhaustion sinks deep into his bones. It’s a chore to wake up everyday and face what he is, what he’s become. Kpop idol? Demon hunter? Ha. He must be so lucky.
Lately, he’s had increasingly vivid daydreams of how his life could be different. Where his days aren't spent managing his teammates’ eclectic personalities both on stage and on the battlefield.
Where he doesn’t have to live up to the impossible standard of his father, the best hunter in generations.
Where he can be free.

Summary
Under the careful and protective guidance of Celine, the Huntrix Boys grow closer to sealing the Honmoon in gold and saving humanity. What should have been a usual hunt to take the girls down changes when the impossible happens- their leader bleeds when cut during the fight.
Half-human, half-demon, Rumi has known since she was young that the permanent sealing of the Honmoon would kill her. That was the only reason her father allowed her to ascend to the human realm with her friends by her side. As Mira and Zoey fight and sing to save her life, Rumi aims to achieve her own personal goals.
