Summary
While generally safe, chrysanthemums can cause itching and skin irritation to particularly sensitive people. They also have many meanings, different with every color and culture. They can mean longevity, nobility, and peace, or devotion, love and truth. It all depends on who you ask.

Jabber, during battle, accidentally gives Zanka a bit *too* much of Mankira’s lovely toxins. Normally, he’d be fine, the cleaner has a high tolerance to poison after-all. But a new, unknown variable causes everything to go south, and Jabber has the worst (and best?) trip-sit of his life.

Summary
For you, for me - he clutches the worn wood of the staff tightly to his chest, like a child seeking comfort in its favorite stuffed animal - I will not allow you to be ripped away from me.
When it's with him, his soul feels whole.
The massive hole is gone, the voices of doubt in his head quieted by the sensation of old wood against his palms.

Summary
Zanka's palms pushed up from the floor, supporting his upper body weight, letting him stare daggers into the man’s skull. He watched as the other man fidgeted with one of the charms hanging off the main clock. It was a tiny hourglass, no bigger than a fingernail. Each stream of sand slipped past itself in a way that felt wrong, like time stuttering instead of flowing down.
He was going to show him.
Show him what he could do against their genius.
Fuck, he had to stop saying that…
… was his last thought as he drifted off into unconsciousness
Or..
Zanka is struck by a vital instrument that throws him through time and space. He discovers how Jabber ends up by his side no matter where he is and always recognises him.
Note: If I CATCH you putting my work in AI sleep with one eye open.

Summary
Jabber wants to answer. Wants to tell him “I’m okay. I’m just... like this.”
But he can’t. Not like this. Not mid-heat, sweaty and shaky and not himself. He doesn’t want Zanka to hear him like that. Doesn’t want to drag Zanka into this mess.
So he stays in the nest. Listens to the silence after the call ends. Lets the ache come back in.
After a few rings the choker stops ringing.Jabber tells himself it’s better this way. For both of them.
Or Jabbers journey on accepting his secondary gender and learning how to open up and trust Zanka with his secret.
