He intended to create a warrior born from the blood of a battlefield. A hardened warmonger right out of birth. A gift for his most favorite disciple.
A Pegasus, something to aid him in battle (and bring his pride down a notch)
He did not, however, intend to create a brat who doesn't have a fucking violent bone in their body.
OR, the blood god wants a warrior and is very casually denied.

The decision had largely been made… on a whim. Xie Lian hadn’t even been thinking about the prospect of children yet, plenty satisfied and happy to focus on his husband and their home for the time being. He loved Hua Cheng and his mind had yet to wander to other possibilities for them in expressing that love, in possibly sharing it with another.
