Due to a error with the sedative, Ryland Grace is not put into his medically induced coma early, he is instead sedated and wakes up in a blank room with no windows with guards at the only exit.
To Eva Stratt and everyone else, his unplanned consciousness doesn't matter, the mission will continue as planned, with a few more bumps than they had originally planned for.
To Ryland Grace, it meant everything. To him, he has three days to convince them not to send him into space, he had three days to tug at their heartstrings and reaffirm just how worthy he was to be kept alive.

Sam and Bucky have a tendency to pick on the teams youngest Avenger. Whether it be scaring him with a spider, or spraying him with a squirt bottle.
What they don't realize is their jokes only seem to hurt and frighten the spider-themed hero. And of course, because of that; they have to answer to Tony Stark.
(Not Sam and Bucky friendly, two separate stories inside. This seemed easier than doing two separate stories where I have to explain Sam and Bucky are good characters that I just needed to be jerks to make the fics work)

There’s a field trip. A fucking field trip, to Stark Industries, where Peter has had a fake internship for half a year now, and everything that Peter has been pretending is about to go up in smoke, because Mr. Stark hasn’t been speaking to him for ages—
Ned is ecstatic. “We’re gonna get to see your internship,” he crows, excitement brighter than Sirius in the sky.
Flash is laughing. “We’re gonna get to watch Penis Parker faceplant when we all see, once and for all, that he’s lying about that internship of his."
MJ is flipping Flash the bird, and Betty is scribbling away in her notebook for the newspaper, and Mr. Harrington is pulling Peter aside when the bell rings to say that he’s heard the rumors, Peter, and it doesn’t do good to the school’s reputation to lie about an internship when they’re in Stark Industries, and the building is collapsing again, concrete dust filling Peter’s lungs, and he can’t do this. Not this afternoon. Not the blindingly yellow field trip permission slip, not talking to Aunt May about getting permission to go to a building that he's supposed to have been going to for months, not the possibility of happening to cross paths with the superhero that took away his suit.

He finally let his gaze slip from the tour guide, Lucy he finally realized, to take in the varying shocked and pale faces of his Academic Decathlon team. He took a deep breath, and then raised the cigarette to his lips, smoking until the tremor in his hands subsided.
This broke the quiet shock in the room, this Peter Parker so unlike the quiet nerd they were accustomed to. This Parker was smoking in Tony Stark’s lab, wearing pink hello kitty pyjama bottoms stained with motor oil, hair ruffled and singed, and he had never looked more like he belonged somewhere.
“Peter?”
“How are you here Parker?”
“Why weren’t you in school?”
“What do you think you’re doing Penis?”
The sneer in the last question made Peter pause, holding up a hand as he snapped “Silence!”. The room fell quiet immediately, Mr Harrington paled further as even he listened to his student. He looked across to the tour guide, expecting her to tell Peter off, to exert her authority over the intern but she said nothing, face just as pale as his class. He blinked in shock, suddenly wrong-footed by the assumption he had made about Peter’s internship being low-level.

All the Avengers bar Tony immediately went to comfort Steve and console him as tears spilled from his red rimmed eyes. Natasha and Clint shot scowls at Tony as he stayed by the counter, not noticing his frozen figure and shaking hands. Suddenly a phone started its shrill tone from Tony’s pocket. When he picked it up, everyone apart from Bruce and Vision shot him dirty glances as he picked it up and walked out the room, appearing unaffected by Steve’s loss. Not even the spies noticed the red around his eyes, the tears threatening to fall, the way he could barely walk straight and almost collapsed out of the room. All Steve’s hearing could pick up was, “Hey Dan, yeah I just heard”.

Peter’s just trying to balance his school scholarship, his part-time internship at Stark Industries, being a teen vigilante, and trying to learn how to survive all on his own.
Everything seems to be too much for the teenager, who can’t seem to ever catch a break.

Meanwhile, the Avengers are trying to hunt him down for reasons completely unknown to Peter. They have one mission: to track Spiderman down and bring him into SHIELD. They don’t realize the “threat” they’re chasing after is just a broken teenager without anyone looking out for him.
