Velvette's voice pitches up, “I am not! men-curious! I've had men!”

"Val..." Angel touches his forehead. "Here– he–" He needs to say it, he needs to speak it out to make it real. Why can't he, it happened, he knows it happened, but he can't–
Charlie covers her mouth with her hand. Coughs forcefully. Angel can hear the smile, the breath of relief.

Or, Valentino is dead. It's a stupid, anticlimactic accident. Angel is left to deal with the fallout. Husk tries to help. It's not pretty....
Oooor, the fic that's 30% Angel missing Valentino, and 60% tension between Angel and Husk because Angel doesn't know how normal relationships work. The other 10% is very on the nose foreshadowing because the author is as subtle as a football flying full speed towards your faceSeries

Summary
Vax—an ugly, uninspired name that has clearly crushed him under the weight of his progenitors combined egos and expectations—is sitting in one of the armchairs and muttering furiously to himself. Occasionally two of his arms twitch in an unconscious, violent gesture before returning to fist the crumpled fabric at his knees. The boy is, as Angel has whispered cruelly under his breath on more than one occasion, ‘fucked in the head’.
Of course they’d considered the possibility that he might be a spy—for all of about five minutes, that is, by which time it had quickly become apparent that the boy is…well—simultaneously unstable, pathologically incapable of telling a convincing lie, in possession of a hatred for Vox that dwarfs any animosity even Alastor himself has ever felt for the man, and most delightfully suffers from a cavernous lack of self-esteem.
And with it, naturally, a deep seated, violently desperate need for recognition and approval!
Vax comes to stay at the hotel, and Alastor scents blood in the water.

After the events of s2e8, two of the Vees don’t bounce back quite as well. Vox’s reputation is down in the dumps, and he unfortunately drags Velvette down with him, do to their shared visits to the Hotel.
But unlike Vox, Velvette refuses to go into hiding. In order to fix her image, Velvette is spending some time at the Hazbin Hotel.
Unfortunately for her, as kind and forgiving as Charlie can be, her and her girlfriend have decided some discipline is in order before they’ll let bygones be bygones.
