It was a sad day when one had to resort to time travel because things were just so fucked up. Stiles should know. He went back to undo the whole ‘Beacon Hills is a death trap’ thing but for now he would just settle for knowing where the fuck he was. Even the year would be a nice start. Someone? Anyone?

Summary
Stiles was kidnapped from the hospital, hours after being born. He was raised by a misguided spark who thought he was hers and then taken away and placed in foster care. Sheriff John Stilinski had never stopped looking for his son, efforts doubling once his wife died and his son's case went cold. When he gets the call that the woman who had stolen his son had come forward, confessed, and he provides what he needs to prove that Stiles is his son, he is elated, emotional, and scared. What had his son went through all of those years and could he work to be the father he had always wanted to be?
And could he answer Stiles' first question. "Are you Batman?"

Stiles noticed the silence. “Hey,” he said, softer now. “You okay?”
Theo swallowed hard, forcing the words out evenly. “Yeah. I’m fine.”
“Theo.”
He closed his eyes. “Nothing’s wrong,” he said, lying through his teeth. His voice was steady enough, he hoped. “You know I love you, right?”
There was silence on the other end. Just static and breathing. Then Stiles’s voice came back, sharper, worried. “Theo, what are you doing?”
Theo’s grip tightened on the phone. “Watching the stars.”
Or a continuation/accompanying fic to the prior one in the series.

Stiles Stilinski would like it known that he did not intend to break the law. Or get a new boyfriend. Or be forcefully adopted and recruited by the BAU. He never intended to solve murders, just as he never intended to get his best friend turned into a Halloween stereotype. Though he doesn't regret it, he would like to blame it on Scott and Jackson for leaving Stiles and Danny unsupervised in a lockable room with alcohol. Honestly, their lives would have been much simpler if they had just stuck to the normal teenage things like making out, instead of hacking the BAU.
