Summary
Every fandom has fics about the fan from our world winding up in the fictional world. From the self insert who finds a way to cross the multiverse, whether by an act of divine intervention or technobabbled pseudoscience is irrelevant, to the reincarnation self insert the hows and whys are as varied as the authors who write them. So I can’t say that I never considered what it would be like if I went on such an adventure. What I can say, is that I never expected to land in my mother’s fandom.

Athena’s eyes flash and glow, and she raises her hands. Annabeth closes her eyes, and everything in the air sizzles to a stop. There is a faint sea breeze, and then a familiar presence at her side.
“It would be unwise of you to hurt her.”
She opens her eyes to her boyfriend’s dad standing behind her, his eyes intent on her mother, who looks like she’s about to blow her top. Annabeth doesn’t breathe, doesn’t look away from Athena, but she takes several quick steps back to stand at Poseidon’s side. It’s not conscious; it’s a move based purely on self-preservation. Still, Annabeth is aware that every step she takes into the sea increases her mother’s ire and decreases the likelihood that Annabeth will ever be forgiven.

And if the best reason to become a god is for love, it doesn't take Poseidon long to realize that he doesn't have to look any further than Annabeth Chase. My Notes: This is a beautifully thought out series that logically follows how life would be better if only Klaus and Barry had worked together. The characterization of everyone, from the main cast to original characters to characters who only showed up once is on point. The plot engages while enveloping the reader in Warm and Fluffy Feelings. And the writing style feels natural to a Girl Genius story. -
