Cat has never been one to admit her weaknesses, has, in fact, spread quite a bit of deliberate misinformation to hide some of them. There’s a reason she never asked for a retraction on that little gossip piece claiming she was training to base jump Mt. Kilimanjaro. Which is how she finds herself tethered to Kara via a complicated system of ropes and knots and locking carabiners, suddenly staring up at a 60’ wall and wondering where she went wrong in life to end up here."
Or the one where Carter gets invited to a birthday party at a rock climbing gym, so obviously Cat needs to go approve the safety measures at the facility first. And really, she's only there to look, not climb. At least until Kara shows up.

Summary
Cat yawned sleepily as she pulled up outside the registration building of the luxury camping resort she’d booked for Carter’s birthday. It was the only thing he’d asked for and at just about sixteen, she counted herself lucky that he wanted to spend time with her at all, let alone a whole five days.
Cat’s conditions for her agreement to camping was that she got to choose the spot and that there would be no tents involved, so they compromised and chose a nice cabin in a resort with all the amenities of home, surrounded by a picturesque and safe forest. However, when Carter had unexpectedly asked if Kara could come too, and the reporter had agreed, Cat had needed to change the reservation to a cabin for three instead of two.

Being Supergirl and not Kara had almost made it easier for them to develop this relationship. Because if Cat had been discussing their favorite music and ballets and dreams for the future while ordering takeout with Kara and not Supergirl well. She might've let her mind wander and think that these were dates. But this was Supergirl, she was completely unattainable. Cat had hoped the distinction would make it easier... it didn't.
