    Percy had agreed to spend the summer in Atlantis. His mother had been rather persuasive about it, and the growing tensions between him and Annabeth had convinced him that getting away from dry land and taking a step back would do him a world of good.

    He had simply forgotten that he had never spent more than two days in a row in Atlantis and that, as a result, he knew nothing about its customs and traditions.

    Not to mention that his father would probably see this as an opportunity to convince him to stay, this time for good.

    This story is an exercice, I'll post one chapter per day through the year !

    A few warnings before you read, I'm mainly basing this on the timeline of the books, not the series. Because of this, Percy is now legal, Annabeth is working on architectural plans for Olympus, and I intended to focus on the undersea family. There is absolutely no Annabeth bashing in this story !

    Based on the UK Tour production!! I love these idiots (this is so niche and self indulgent but my friends and I have been losing our minds over them for months)

    This close Pollux could see every small detail of his face, the way his lips curled into a small smile, the way the sun reflected off of his eyes and made the blue practically sparkle, Lee somehow had even more freckles than Pollux remembered seeing this morning. He once again got lost in the desire to count each of Lee’s freckles, the thought of being allowed to do that made heat crawl through his veins,

    “Ready to finish what we started this morning?” Lee taunted with a bright grin, falling into a fighting stance that Pollux stumbled to match, he managed a shaky grin in reply,

    “Bring it on, Fletcher.” He shot back, surprised at how even his voice was.

    Percy Jackson's mortal coworkers are often fascinated by him as if his godly aura (and weird powers) seem to impress most of them. Percy reinvents himself a few times to escape curious eyes and ends up having a moltitude of jobs, mostly with catastrophic endings.

    First days are the worst. 12 and a half years of K-12 schooling at 11 different schools. 4 years undergrad schooling plus 1 year graduate school and 4 months student teaching. Now, 5 whole years of teaching middle school Latin. Far, far too many first days of school for Mr. Percy Jackson.

    He loves his job! Really! He’s always enjoyed helping kids learn new skills from being a sword instructor to inattentive hyperactive demigods at 17 to teaching Latin to pre-teens at 28. It’s just…that first day and all its uncertainty has always been stressful for Percy. Learning how to navigate brand new students, finding how to best command a class, finding…well there’s a lot of things to learn with a new class. GODS why didn’t he just join the army…scratch that Percy and authority figures do not mix. Anyway this class should be fun or a nightmare, probably the latter knowing a certain student on his class list.
