The carapace of the creature tilts upwards as if excited. “Earth is beautiful beautiful beautiful planet!” It stomps one of its legs three times for emphasis. “Grace show Rocky many beautiful moving pictures! Mountains and forests and beaches and ocean and San Francisco! Rocky happy happy happy Earth safe! Rocky love Earth!”
Then it pauses. Its carapace lowers. Despite having no eyes or facial expression, it gives off the distinct feeling of glaring.
“Rocky hate hate hate humans.” -

Summary
A kid, probably in his late teens‒couldn’t be older than nineteen‒with pale skin and shaggy hair tied back in a low ponytail that started out black on top and turned white further down his head, stood inside a ring of candles that burned with an unearthly green flame and a metallic smell almost like ozone hung around the area. In front of him also inside the ring was a headstone that read In Loving Memory of Catherine Jeanette McHale and on the other side of the headstone stood the nearly translucent figure of a teenage girl.
The brothers shared an exasperated look, scenarios of how this could go downhill playing through their minds. Just what they needed, some kid messing with stuff they didn’t understand and getting killed as a result. They pulled out their rock-salt loaded shotguns and jumped into action, dropping their stealth to close in on the gravestone. -

"Have you been to your quarters lately, by chance?"
"Not recently, no," the Inquisitor answered slowly, his expression becoming ever more befuddled however there was a spark of interest in his eyes.
"Do, when you have the time. I believe there's something there that'll interest you greatly."
Dorian's sharp smile and enigmatic behavior did the trick, alluring the Inquisitor into his little game. His eyes searched Dorian up and down with intrigue.
"I'll go see to that then."
"Of course. Another time, Inquisitor."
After one last brief, curious glance, the Inquisitor turned and returned from where he came, his footsteps echoing down the staircase. Dorian watched him until he disappeared from sight.
And then he legged it out of the library.

That voice he knew. Soft. Familiar. The kind of voice that had talked him through scraped knees and broken hearts and that one time he'd gotten spectacularly drunk after a stunt went sideways and he'd thought his career was over before Ryder picked him up and forcibly dusted him off.
*Ryland.*
Colt's eyes wouldn't focus. There was a shape beside the bed, blurry, backlit by that awful fluorescent glow. He tried to speak and managed something between a groan and a question mark.
"Hey, hey, it's okay. Don't try to talk yet." Ryland's hand found his, finally something warm, solid, *real*. "You're in the hospital. You're safe. Just... just rest, okay?"
Hospital. The word bounced around Colt's skull like a pinball, refusing to connect to anything meaningful. Why was he in a hospital? What happened? He tried to chase the memory but it slipped away, dissolving like smoke.

When a bug sweeps through the Citadel and both King Regis and Clarus are laid down sick and unable to rule, it is up to Noctis to step up as Prince Regent until one or both of them recover. When a Crownsguard and Kingsglaive operative are found dead in one of the alleys in Insomnia, it is up to him to pass judgment on the captured murderer responsible. Which is all well and good, nothing too difficult as the evidence points to only one conclusion, and thus one judgment to be passed.
At least until it turns out that the supposed murderer is Prompto.
