Luffy feels the bond strengthening. The bond that was created when Zoro accepted his deal and strengthened when Luffy promised to not get in the way of Zoro's dream. An additional layer forms as Zoro makes a promise back to him, a promise he will have to uphold for Luffy, so Luffy can be pirate king with a crew he can be proud of. Pirate king with the world's greatest swordsman by his side.
A story of Luffy's and Zoro's trust, bonds and promises that are weaved throughout Luffy's adventure from the East Blue to Wano.

Chan wasn't usually one for gossip. He was, however, a regular at Changbin's bar; he would call himself a good friend of Changbin's by now. And the guy had secrets. Which was normal for a bar keeper. They heard stories. The good ones, the bad ones, the sad ones. And Changbin made sure that they did not find their way to someone else.
However, Chan had little interest in those secrets. The one secret that did not let him go was the one of Changbin’s husband.

Summary
When you’re best friends with someone, you learn to go along with their crazy shit so easily that sometimes it feels like your own idea. Mickey learned that quickly with Ian when they were little. They’re not little anymore. And the crazy shit is a little less crazy, but still it hooks Mickey right along because that’s what friends do.
And apparently, if Mickey’s understanding this right, friends also start shotgunning their joints and using it as an excuse to make out with each other. Because that’s definitely what Ian’s doing. And that’s definitely what Mickey’s playing along with. And there’s definitely no way this could be a front for underlying feelings. They’re just best friends. Boy best friends. Who kiss for fun.
