Valentino let out a low, sensual laugh, his eyes shining with interest. He moved closer to Vox, wrapping an arm around his shoulders while looking at Alastor with a predatory smile.
—What a surprise —he purred, his voice a satisfied rumble—. This is quite curious, you know? I never imagined the radio demon would be perverted enough to want two omegas for three whole days.
Alastor, still reclined on the sofa with his feet on the table, tilted his head with his eternal smile.
—A week —he corrected, his voice with that radio echo that always made Vox nervous—. My rut lasts a full week.

Alastor felt his smile freeze on his face. Not because the news was false, but because Vox was there, in his tower, trembling with rage, his hands clenched into fists at his sides.
—Is it true? —Vox asked, his voice static and poison—. Are you going to marry him?
Alastor folded the newspaper carefully, placing it on the table beside him. His smile widened again, though something in it had become sharper.
—I don't see how that's any of your business —he replied, waving his hand vaguely—. Don't tell me you came all the way here just for magazine gossip, Vox. You're losing your touch.
—Don't fuck with me —Vox spat, taking a step forward. Then another. His static filled the room, crackling in the air like annoying bees—. Do you think I don't care? Do you think I can see you in every damn newspaper, smiling like a happy idiot next to that… that fucking dwarf… and not make a scene?
—It seems to me you're making one right now —Alastor said, his voice a dangerous whisper.
I'm not good at making summaries, so I used a snippet from the fic. This takes place after the second season. It's not relevant to the plot, but it is for knowing where it's set ^_^

“It’s quite the opposite, actually. I’ve come to help you,” Alastor said, as if it wasn’t the most ridiculous thing Vox had ever heard.
“How stupid do you think I am?”
“Exceedingly so,” Alastor smirked and Vox scowled. He’d walked right into that one.
Alastor held up his hands in a sassy, little shrug. “But as I told you earlier, you helped me break a chain that’s been a thorn in my side for a very long time. So I believe I owe you more than a simple thank you. Look, I even brought you a gift.”

Vox is forced to deal with the consequences of his failed takeover of Heaven in the worst way he can imagine. Being left alone with his own thoughts. Thankfully, his arch rival and old crush Alastor shows up to distract him.
