Summary
When Nice gets kicked out of the house for good, his first instinct is to go to Wreck.
He only means to say goodbye. He never thought they’d wind up running away together, taking a bus across the country to crash with Wreck’s sister.
But the circumstances are not on their side. Less than a day into their great escape, Nice finds himself stranded in the middle of nowhere. With no cell service, no money, and no home to return to, he has to rely on the kindness of strangers to get him back to civilization—and more importantly, back to Wreck.
Unfortunately, this does not go well for him.

But… Nice’s smile isn’t the shallow simulacrum of heroism he’s been wearing in recent years. And his eyes—they don’t have that glassy, dead look they usually have, these days. Instead, they sparkle in the sunlight, glittering with determination. With resolve.
The day Nice decides to end it all, another hero figures out what he plans to do. Armed with little more than a half-cocked plan and his wits, he—somewhat reluctantly—jumps to the rescue.
