Summary
Yin Yu wasn’t all that cognizant as a little ghost fire. He wandered in and out of consciousness for what seemed like forever, playing and replaying his life’s events over and over again until one day he gasped (unnecessarily) awake in Paradise Manor.
He was back in his body and back at work? Was it all just a crazy dream?
But no, the memories were painfully clear—as was the surprise on His Highness’s face.
“You’re awake!” Xie Lian said, sounding pleasantly surprised.
When Yin Yu had died at the hands of the Heavenly Emperor, the last thing he had seen was His Highness.
…And Quan Yizhen, beaten to a pulp and sobbing because he couldn’t save his shixiong.
Yin Yu didn’t want to care, didn’t want these to be the first words out of his mouth after his resurrection, but the question tumbled from his lips anyway:
“Is Yizhen okay?”
Quan Yizhen wanted to be the first person Yin Yu saw when he finally returned. (He wasn't.)
...But he was the first person Yin Yu thought about.
Whether Yin Yu wanted to admit it or not.

Quan Yizhen is a direct parallel to Luo Binghe and this fic really highlights that aspect.

Summary
“Your Shixiong is dead,” he answers dispassionately.
“Shixiong,” Quan Yizhen repeats again, insistent. "Please, come back."
“I said stop calling me that!" Silver Moon Piercing Sky presses the blade in by another fraction. A bead of blood oozes from Quan Yizhen's neck. "I already told you, I’m not your Shixiong!"
“Shixiong will always be Shixiong,” Quan Yizhen answers, adamant and plaintive, as if it’s the most natural fact in the world.
(After death, Yin Yu comes back as a Calamity. Quan Yizhen refuses to give up on him.)

Summary
“You’ve seen the latest announcement from the International Competitive Cultivation Federation, right?” Xie Lian asks. “They’re instituting a new discipline at the World Championships this year.”
“The doubles, yeah,” Feng Xin says. It’s a smart move. Two-on-two fights and duels are always popular with the audience. People love watching highly skilled people beat the shit out of each other in a controlled environment.
“I think,” Xie Lian continues, his smile taking on a sly slant, “that you and Mu Qing should team up to represent Xianle.”
In the world of competitive cultivation, Feng Xin and Mu Qing are hailed as the greatest rivals despite not competing in the same individual disciplines. Now they need to figure out how to be something far more difficult: partners.

Summary
The silence expands, crushing with its volume, broken only by Feng Xin’s quiet hiccups ‒ he’s crying, Mu Qing realizes. He’s actually crying, great tears dripping from his chin, out of place upon those noble features ‒ he’s crying.
“Feng Xin,” he starts, before realizing that he doesn’t know what to say.
