Maybe I should have been convinced I was still dreaming, but it didn’t even occur to me to attempt to believe that.
I woke up and I knew in an instant that I was somewhere else.
It was necessary to quickly skip past the rampant and stubborn denial part of the whole transmigration experience, because of the dragon.

Summary
You know, some people like to daydream about what they would do if they were transported to -Insert name of fictional universe here-, and what they would fix.
For my part, After the initial ‘wouldn’t that just be so cool’ phase, I started thinking about risks, technology, distrust, and the kind of villains I would face. I then decided I would disappear for parts unknown ‘till all the dangerous stuff was over. (except if we end up in a Phineas and Ferb episode, I think we’d all be okay no matter what we did.)
What can I say? I’m not the martyr type.
Getting involved was always on my ‘sounds nice but is problematic and dangerous’ list, because sci-fi is full of awful people doing awful things, and I’m just me.
Why do I bring this up?
Oh, because I’m living the nightmare.
