At the sound of the door bell, Vickie can feel her entire face lighting up with a bright grin. She hurtles down the hall, slippers sliding across floorboards, before screeching to a halt in order to fiddle with the lock and chain, until she manages to undo it, and finally swings the door open.
Kali’s standing on the doorsteps. She’s wearing her black, denim jacket, with her hands shoved in her pockets, and violette boots with heels so high that they’re almost the same night as each other. As Vickie surges forward and flings her arms around her girlfriend, she tries her best to be careful not to knock her off balance at all. But it’s a testament to how steady she is (despite the high heels) that Kali doesn’t seem unbalanced at all, and simply wraps her arms around Vickie to hug her back just as tightly, leaning forward to rest her chin on Vickie’s shoulder.

He wants to get angry at Hopper again. There is so much blame and Mike can feel himself brimming over with it. If only there was someone to place it on, someone who truly deserved it, then at least he could finally be rid of it. But when Mike really thinks about whose shoulders the blame should rest upon, the only name that springs to mind is his own.
(After all, Will called him the heart, when he gave Mike the painting that El commissioned, the one with Mike standing front and centre, a fearless Paladin who’s more than ready to die for his friends. Paladins are known for their strength and unwavering loyalty. If there’s blame on offer, then Mike can take it. He has to be able to take this; it’s only what he deserves.)

It’s Lucas, she knows that without having to spare a glance to check.
She should ignore him. Maybe get up and tug the curtains closed in his face for good measure. And yet, against her better judgment, Max finds herself sliding the window open and stepping back to allow Lucas to climb into her room.
Or: Max has a bisexual crisis and Lucas ends up reassuring her.

Other people probably don’t pick up on Trinity’s unease in situations like this because she’s always careful to hide it. That’s what she’s doing now; keeping her body language relaxed, offering a snarky remark in response to something Langdon says, glancing at him only briefly in order to to side-eye him, with an almost pitying look fixed in place.
But it’s the slight hints which betray her, and when Dennis adds them all together then it immediately becomes clear that she’s uncomfortable. It’s the way that her shoulders are drawn slightly closer together than usual; how she grabs her backpack out the locker in a movement that’s a little rigid; the way her smirk clearly seems strained if you look at it for more than a second; how there’s a sharp edge to her voice as she makes the snarky remark.

Meow.
James smiles, removes the rest of his cloak, and reaches down to pet his new friend. The cat seems careful, it took a few seconds for it to fully lean into the touch, but when he did he was met with a soft sound from James. A reward.

Sirius escapes Azkaban in August 1993. He has two goals: 1) Find Harry, 2) Kill Peter Pettigrew.
Sirius turns up at the Dursley's to check on Harry and things do not go as planned... but that's okay because what he finds is better.
"Sirius had been expecting the house to be grey, dark, and stale, but as he crossed the threshold he was hit with the smell of cooking food and the sounds of a warm crackling fire. As he walked through the foyer he found he was in the direct eye-line of a man, a familiar looking man who stood with impeccable posture at the long kitchen table cutting carrots. The man was of average height (slightly taller than Sirius), slim build, and had dark black curly hair that he kept tucked behind one ear. He continued chopping vegetables in tailored black slacks, heavy leather boots, and an expensive looking gray wool sweater. Most curiously about his appearance was the emerald green apron that was fitted around the man's waist that read “World’s Greatest Uncle” in silver lettering. "
