Harry looked back up at Dumbledore. “I think I’m going to board the train.”
Dumbledore smiled at him, his eyes twinkling “Then I wish you luck on your next great adventure.”
Dumbledore’s form started to fade away as Harry stood up from the bench. His eyes cast one last look at the small creature under the other bench. It had stopped moving. He walked to the train, took a deep breath, and climbed inside.

Harry’s thoughts were a mess. He looked at the being, at Death. Dumbledore had said that he wasn’t dead. But then again he chose to get on the train instead of go back. Perhaps that meant he was dead now.
No Little Master, you are not dead yet.
Harry jumped a little again, clearly Death could read his thoughts. “But Dumbledore said I could choose to go back but I didn’t. Shouldn’t I be dead now?”
Yes, you are dead in the forest. But you are not dead here, and once you get where you are going you will never die in the forest.
“That doesn’t make any sense”
Indeed.Harry travels back to fourth year. Perhaps he can change the future, maybe less people need to die this time.
