She was amazed at the feel of his lips on hers. Their last kiss shared during Kaguya’s reign of terror, and that was chaste, she’d had no time to trace the contours of his mouth, to run her tongue against his and to taste him. She broke the kiss and glanced into the hanyou’s eyes.
“Inuyasha,” She once again whispered in wonderment and he smiled, soft, open. Boyish, she marveled.
“I love you, Kikyou,” She felt herself smile, lean in for another kiss, before his words registered.

You are beautiful,” he flushes before continuing “you are kind, you are a master waterbender. You should feel fire in your blood when someone kisses you. You should never have to force yourself to be with another.”
She realizes how close they are, his words emboldening her and she leans forward touching their foreheads together. “Thank you Zuko. I really needed to hear that.” She mutters, her eyes drifting towards his lips before they droop almost shut.
