Or, an expansion on Cloudy’s backstory leading up to the events of Fallback, showing how they became as secretive and prickly as they were in Fallback. This also covers how their existence affected Airy’s time in their world. These are just a handful of scenes that primarily focus on a few characters and Airy’s world, not really about ONE itself (the in-canon show) or the making of it.

Summary
Fallback mainly follows Liam as he tries to find a way to free his friends from the Plane after his one informant died. It's up to him and the help of others to try and save as many of them as possible. In the meantime, he has to figure out how to reconcile with Airy, or if he should even give him a chance.
(This was written right after I saw ONE 18, which then spiraled into a two-month project made both for fun and for writing practice. Hope you enjoy! :D)

A White Forest recon team was sent to investigate and retrieve whatever they could from the rubble and ashes of the former haven town.

Doing god’s work writing for this ship 🫡
Fr though I absolutely love this expansion on all the Half-Life characters, especially the bits relating to events that would’ve happened in Return to Ravenholm!! Ugh I wish that game got finished,, anyway, this is a damn good fic. Chapter 12 is a big highlight for me so far. Really fun read(“Refugee from Ravenholm” by incelghetsis, Half-Life)

Matchbox, Mailbox, and Tilly all leap up and run to the door, barking excitedly all the way. Pearl puts her cooking tools down and follows them. “Do I have a visitor?”
She opens the door to find GeminiTay standing in front of her.
Gem looks perfect. There are sunflowers in her braid and vines woven around her antlers. She’s wearing her favorite dress, the one that makes her look like a woodland elf. Pearl is suddenly self-conscious of her own fruit-stained overalls. “Oh, gosh, you’re early! I’m sorry, I didn’t realize. I’m not quite ready yet…”
“That’s alright! I actually…” Gem smiles sheepishly. “I knew you’d be cooking for the picnic, and I kinda just wanted to hang out with you.”
Pearl’s heart melts. “Of course! I was trying to surprise you with boba, but now we can make it together.”
or: Pearl and Gem make some (perfectly-colored) alien drinks for a picnic.
