Lena’s response is knee-jerk. “None of your damn business.”
Supergirl runs her fingers through her hair. It sticks up wildly near her temple, and Lena can see a slight cowlick. It’s strangely humanizing. “Look, my boss isn’t going to like that I’m working with an unknown as it is. If we’re going to work together, I at least need something to call you.”
When Lena shakes Supergirl’s hand, she feels the warmth of victory when the hero seems shocked at the firmness of her grip. But alarmingly an even stronger warmth radiates from their joined palms, spreading up her arm; Lena pulls her hand back faster than what’s generally considered polite, curling it into a fist.
“You can call me Kieran.”

Vampires, Werewolves and Zombies were right at the top of the list, no matter what Bram Stoker, Anne Rice or Stephanie bloody Mayer dreamed up, probably after way too much red wine. Kara was running away from it all. She had left National City two years ago after defeating Lex because all her friends had gone on to do different things. The world didn't know who Supergirl was and she faded into the background until huge problems arose. So Kara ran to Metropolis where she found and fell in love with a man. But it wasn't what it seemed and she quickly found herself in a bad situation. Which is how Kara found herself standing in the middle of an airport terminal at 7am with a newborn baby girl strapped to her chest, running home to National City.
Just as she's about to board the plane she hears his voice from behind her. Cue the love of her life appearing out of thin air and saving her.

Which is a bit weird, to be honest, especially considering the last time they went out was the DEO holiday party, where Kara forced Lena and everyone else to witness her wearing a Rudolph Christmas sweater with her tit out as the nose.
Lena was expecting today's outfit to be on par with that, not to see Kara legitimately trying.
"We have each other, though," Kara goes on. "And what are friends for, if not fake dating to not be losers?"
