Billy picks up a butterfly bandage, holds it between his fingers for Steve to see. Waits for Steve to drop his chin in a nod, and then presses it into place against Steve’s busted eyebrow. It’s the best Billy has to give.
This probably isn’t going to work out. This thing Billy’s been trying to have with Steve since he got to Hawkins. Steve’s got these soft edges where Billy’s all blunt and sharp.
Billy drags his fingertips down the side of Steve’s face, presses his thumb against the scar he didn’t leave, and lifts a brow. “How many fights do you lose, Harrington?”
Steve grins, a half-formed thing that is sharp and sad at the same time. “All of them.”

Screen heating up a little more, Vox shoots a bored look.
“Or just late,” he snips back. “Oh well,” he claps his hands. “Doesn’t matter, you ready to get down to business?”
“Oh baby,” a bright gleam in endless red eyes, “I’m always ready to get down.”

In his arms, the man was hugging a pillow along with one of Xie Lian’s old, worn shirts. His face was barely visible over the blankets, still red and flushed - and accompanied with a glare so thoroughly pissed off that Xie Lian hurriedly pulled his own gaze away.
“Shut up,” Mu Qing hissed. “Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up.”In a world full of alphas and omegas, Xie Lian is a beta. He doesn't really get what his friends are going through, and he's not sure if he wants to know, either.

Dabi gave Hawks an unimpressed look as he ‘tch’d. “I’ll fuck you up if you don’t tell me what the hell is going on.” Hawks stood there for a minute, not moving, before he picked up his discarded jacket and screamed into it.

The doors open with a heaving groan, and Touya leans forward in open interest. He was expecting a large cage to be wheeled in, containing some fantastical creature like a small wyvern or a kirin. Instead the servants yank on heavy chains, pulling in a young man with massive crimson wings.
“A harpy, your majesty, tamed and trained for battle by the enemy. He was captured in combat, and has spent the last six months undergoing training to become a suitable pet for the royal household. I give him to you, your majesty, to serve whichever role his highness pleases.”
