While their narrative tells Satoru that soulmates are pointless and that most sorcerers are doomed to die before meeting theirs, time leads him to know better. His words are supposed to be proof of something more, something better etched on his wrist. A reminder. Rather, for him… a warning.
You should at least curse me a little at the end.
Or: In another universe, soulmates have each others' last words marked on their wrists. For Satoru and Suguru, it changes everything and nothing all at once.
