Summary
Everywhere they go they’re bombarded with reminders that it’s Valentine’s Day. It wouldn’t be so awful if he weren’t spending the day with someone he’s in love with. It doesn’t matter, though. He would spend entire days running errands with Sansa and it would make him as happy as anything else done with her. He just wants to be in her presence, to have her smile at him, and to hold her hand. Even if they'll only ever be friends.

Summary
The baby unlatches with a soft little sound and goes limp, milk-drunk and warm.
Jon is sitting on the recliner.
“Can you pass her to me?” He whispers. “So you can rest.”
Sansa doesn’t even think about the fact that her shirt is pushed up and her bra is unclipped. Modesty has become a joke three weeks into unexpected motherhood. She shifts carefully and hands the baby over. Jon takes her gently and holds her against his chest. He kisses her head.
The sight of Jon with their daughter is comforting and one of her favorite things. It’s also a problem.
Because soon he’ll have to go back to Castle Black and this little world they’ve built where they’re parents who sleep in the same room for the baby’s sake and cry together when she does something cute, will disappear. Soon their lives will turn into trains and custody plans and calendars and silence and Sansa doesn’t know how they’ll survive that.

Sansa Stark is, to her very core, a believer.
She believes in the healing properties of amethyst and lavender.
She believes in the importance of eating alone no more than three times a week, and always taking time to answer her mother’s phone calls, if only to tell her that she doesn’t have time to talk. She believes that tea is always better with a little bit of honey, and that no one – no one – should live a life free of love.
(Not even Joffrey Baratheon.)
She believes that Jon Snow is an absolute, unmitigated ass.
Of that, she’s certain.

“Are you jonesing?” she wondered.
“Hmm?” he asked.
“For a cigarette,” she clarified.
“No,” he told her, “Just trying not to do something stupid.”
“Smoking a cigarette would be stupid,” she smiled.
She wasn’t sure when they’d gotten so close, but she knew they kept getting closer. He smelled like cigarettes and beer she’d never drink, but there was something else there too that made it intoxicating.
Sansa had never really understood when Marg would tell her that just from a look in a coat closet she’d seen the whole night play out. She did now.
It seemed inevitable, that they’d fall into bed together, though Sansa Stark was not the sort who fell into bed with anyone.
“Stupider than that,” he mused.

Summary
Sansa only lets herself look at Jon when he’s turned away and someone else has his attention, when there’s no chance he’ll glance over and catch her doing it. It doesn’t help. She still watches like it might change something.
And she has to keep telling herself the same ugly truth, over and over. If he turned. If he looked straight at her. If his eyes landed on hers and held.
He still wouldn’t know her.
