Summary
Percy is stuck in Gotham for a few weeks with nothing to do.
On the bright side, his new friends are at least as weird as Percy, so he doesn't need to pretend to be a boring, untraumatized mortal. Maybe Alvin from the skatepark (who is definitely a vigilante, not that Percy cares) wants to hang out? Also, that kid Damian might want to spar some time. It's nice to know people who appreciate the awesomeness of swords.
Meanwhile, the Bats have many, many questions.
Percy constantly says the most out of pocket things. He's a trained fighter. He has no criminal ties, unless you count an accusation of terrorism at age twelve (?!?). He is lowkey terrifying but also has the mellow vibes of a surfer dude. Is he a threat? Oh, for sure. Is he a friend? Somehow, also yes. Is he going to get adopted by Bruce when he discovers this dark-haried light-eyed former child soldier? Not if Percy can help it.

“Is this okay?” He let the pads of his fingertips brush her side. Her shiver came again and his worry heightened.
“Yes,” Annabeth said.
Percy flattened his hand on her waist. He relished the immediate warmth that seeped from beneath her shirt. In case she felt cold again, he moved his hand downward and up again in hopes that it could warm her up more.
Annabeth let out a low sigh and burrowed backwards into his front. His hand slipped down until his fingers were pressing into her tummy. She didn’t say anything or undo her move. In fact, her breathing started to slow.

But she feels so safe and warm and comfortable wrapped in Percy's arms; enveloped in more love than she ever thought was possible for her to receive. It feels like it'll be very difficult to force herself to move right now.

There was a cliche that she’d heard frequently in romance movies– The whole notion that you knew a boy was truly head over heels for you when he’d do anything you asked him to. Since they were 16 years old, Percy complied to any one of Annabeth’s wishes without a single question asked. It didn’t matter how big or small the request was, he would bend over backwards for her and anytime Annabeth mentioned it, he would just give her a kiss and say that her happiness was worth it all. And for as much as that terrified her– having Percy do anything she wished, it also thrilled her.
