We can have the guards gather there.." VR-LA suggested and his mother nodded, pulling him more tightly against her before letting him go.
"Yes, yes.. let's go. We have to instruct the guard." His mother breathed out. "I've already used my magic to contact Queen Mystra.. if anything happens, you are to escape until Queen Mystra comes, understood? I'll escape with you."

This was heavily inspired by a bunch of SBI Humans are Space Orcs Au's which kinda all blended together in my mind. I'll do my best to credit my major inspirations when I remember/find them. Check out "Human Error" by "Teeth_Eater" if you like SBI, its the other major inspiration I could think of.

“Don’t name her so seriously..” Finbar groaned. “We are just going to drop her off in a shelter in Sigil, remember?”
“Yes, of course, Finbar.” VR-LA agreed right away, his center eyes narrowed to show how he was smiling. They are going to get so attached.
“That name sucks. All of your names for her suck!” Dani complained.
“It’s better than ‘Starry’.” VR-LA shot back.

Emi loosen her grip on her frog plush, staring at the weird dog. The dog let out another high pitched bark, doing a play bow. Emi vaguely remembered somebody saying that was a sign a dog was friendly, so she carefully approached. The dog's tail sped up, but the dog didn't move, waiting for her to get closer.Emi stopped in front of the dog, holding her hand out to it. The dog sniffed Emi's hand for a moment, before gently nudging her hand with its nose. Emi giggled.
"Hello, are you lost too?" Emi asked softly, receiving another friendly bark from the dog. "You're very nice." Emi petted the dog, who leaned into her hand.
The dog pulled back from the petting after a moment, nudging at Emi's torso for a moment before walking forward. "Do you want me to follow you?" Emi asked the dog, who nodded

Kyana chose to be optimistic about it and believe that the reason she had so, so many signals all over her skin for just how many things she needed to overcome to mature (and get to leave, she almost didn't believe it the first time she was told higher ranking monks got to do that) was just extra details, extra help so her path forward would be clear as possible. She had to be optimistic about it.
Most people have the one soulmate. Another being somewhere in the planescape whose soul was destined to have a deep adhesive contact to your own. Two soulmates is generally uncommon, and anything beyond that is increasingly rare, so the crew of the Per Aspera each having 3 soulmates, and every one of those soulmates being one another, is a one-of-a-kind relationship indeed.
