Summary
Harry answers the door almost immediately. “Kim!” he says, his eyes widening when he sees you. He grins, something crooked and bright. He’s wearing the sleazy racist robe, its dark blue silk slipping off one shoulder. It’s barely on. The detective is both more and less than you remember - taller than you, leaning on the doorframe with one forearm, green eyes glittering. Alcohol, maybe. You try to subtly peer around him into the apartment. You can’t *quite* tell. But here, in this context - well, he’s just a man. One that’s been made familiar to you in the last three weeks. One that makes something flutter, traitorously, in your lungs.
“Do you, um. Do you want to come in?” he asks.

Summary
Quick as a snake, Harry grabs his hand, spinning him around. He’s strong for a dead man. He puts Kim’s hand on his chest. “Then why don’t I breathe unless I’m thinking about it? Why doesn’t my heart beat?” Underneath Kim’s hand there is nothing. “Didn’t you show me how to breathe? In Martinaise. You did.” He looks at Kim suspiciously. “What do you know, Kim? Tell me. Please. I can handle it.”

Summary
The detective Kim has been sent to meet is dead.
He can feel it as soon as he sets foot in the Whirling-in-Rags. It’s the same feeling he always gets around a dead body. The creeping itch between his shoulder blades, as if his wings want to open.
Kim Kitsuragi is very sure of this. That is why he is so surprised when the dead man staggers down the steps and comes to a stop before him.Series

Summary
This is when you see it.
It’s only visible for a few seconds with the twist of his body, but it’s unmistakably there; when his arm goes up, the shirt comes untucked, and there, on the tiny sliver half way between his exposed lower belly and his hip, is a mark. Too dark to be a bruise, yet still somewhat coloured, like a very deep green. The shape you can’t make out, but it’s obvious what it is. A tattoo. Kim has a tattoo.
(featuring a secret tattoo, conversations about communism and the third worst dick mullen film, and a terribly hot summer day.)
