As the couple made their Promise of Devotion on the day of their Eternal Bonding Ceremony, Davina understood all too well the importance of the words.
"To have and to hold, from this day forward. For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health. To love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to the Twelves holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge my faith and myself to thee."
She just did not expect the sickness part to happen over something as avoidable as overworking oneself.
At least Aymeric had the decency to appear contrite, lest she make the parting due to death a reality too.
