What an honour to be tenderly knitted back together by one so enchanting. What a fool he had been to believe that such an act indicated supplication, that he could resume his control of her. Too late he realised Galadriel held his heart in every conceivable way, that she could both love and devour him, unmaking her gift with a simple thought.

“Have I not courted you for years now, Elf?” Sauron trailed two fingers over her cheek, pressed them gently at the hinge of her jaw. “Ah I see,” he added, observing every small change in her expression. “You desire the man. Let it never be said that I would deny you, my queen.”

For a moment she thinks he might devour her.
She feels the jab of the needle into her neck and her vision immediately begins to spin. But it’s his lips that brush against her ear, the promise in his words that worry her most.

Why did he ever let her go?
Rage burns him from the inside out. The orc says something else, but he cannot hear him. He cannot hear anything but the blood rushing in his ears, and he feels only the bellow of anguish building until it erupts—and the entire world around him disintegrates into blinding light.
Fear seizes his entire being. Has he accidentally shed his fana? Is he losing his vision?
Then he feels her arm in his grasp, the soft, seawater-worn sleeve of the white shift she wore on the raft.or: Above the flames of Eregion, Galadriel had left him no choice but to bind her with his darkness. Maybe here, in this illusion, he can know what it would have been for her to bind him with her light.

Galadriel shakes her head. “Wanting you back and having you back are separate realities,” she says, her tone softening. “Feeling your touch again, of course I delighted in it but,” she pauses, takes another large sip from her wine glass. “I must also reckon with everything you have done. Everything I have done.”
“What did you do?” Halbrand snorts, “aside from ensure my lasting and humiliating defeat.”

“The thought never crossed my mind,” said Galadriel, wincing the instant Melian grabbed her wrist, mischief blazing in her eyes as she lightly dug her nails into Galadriel’s skin.
“Oh please Gal! You’re so good at picking locks and the doors on these things are the flimsiest shit ever,” she implored, almost bouncing in her seat.
“Meli…” Galadriel warned.
“Please oh please!” Melian continued. “Just go in there and move some of his stuff. It’ll annoy the shit out of him. Ooh I know! Drink one of his beers and leave it on the table! He’ll go off his fucking nut!”
