Summary
Hiccup's desperately trying to figure out what exactly is the deal with Burgess ever since he moved in. He keeps dreaming of a lake. Or more specifically, drowning in one. He knows there's a lake, but there are no photos, no maps to where this lake is. Hiccup knows it exists, because the other residences know about it too, but whenever he asks for details they seem to know nothing, baring a few exceptions, and Hiccup can't help but feel like he's going insane.
All of this, somehow, leads to him giving Jack Frost a four hour car ride. Jack, who's the center of all of this in one way or another.

Summary
Where the well appears, reality bruises.
A child goes missing, and so does Jack. Both of them are thrown back centuries and Jack has no back-up and no idea how to get both himself and the kid back home, if there even is a way home. The wind is unfamiliar and harsh, Jack can’t fly, he doesn't have his staff, the Guardians are unavailable—and even if they were, they still have no idea on what to do with a member like Jack, especially when their perspectives are always at odds. He’s completely on his own, save for a profoundly outcasted viking and his dragon.
Hiccup hasn’t come back to Berk in years, instead spending his time wandering around the islands following and studying dragon migration patterns. In his travels he finds an odd character and adjusts to the implications of his existence: that magic is real, and although wondrous, it is not always benevolent. And while they have each other in this dangerous and vibrant world, it might as well be the blind leading the blind.
Meanwhile, in the present, Mrs. Bennett desperately searches for a well.

Hiccup, of course, recognizes the irony when he spends a solid chunk of his nights as a masked vigilante whose identity so far remains unknown, and up to speculation if he even exists at all. Between the haunting forests that surround the islands and whatever haunts his new-found, strange friend, not all is what it seems.

Berk was a special place that knew no harmony even if it had been hit straight at the face with it, and so, it was that terrible harbingers came in the company of a child’s laughter.

Hiccup, cursed? It's less likely than one would think. And yet, that's what Berk believes.
The boy doesn't have all that much fun, and laughs even less so, but coincidence makes it so that the few times he has, mishaps have followed. Hiccup thinks there's nothing to do about it, and follows Berk's lead at making himself the butt of the joke until things blow over.

Summary
A short snippet of Izuku's life before his meeting with All Might and some of what tagged along right afterwards; includes his love for note-taking, and certainly the love for his mother; not to mention the insecurities that come with a quirkless body and a busy mind.
Or, alternatively, I think of Izuku's as a very genuine and interesting character and I felt like writing him without having to make the boy go through any grand event to show that he is great just as he is.
