Here is the crossroads at which Jim currently falters: he could A: return the evil, cursed ring to the evil, cursed serial killer currently set on murdering him and his loved ones, with this cursed ring being the only thing to control him or... he could B: wear the ring, thereby removing any chance of Angor becoming a good person, surrendering himself to the abuse of dark magic (untold side effects to be found), but guarantee without a doubt that neither him nor his loved ones would perish.
