He almost wants to be upset about it, but he’s just too tired - and besides, Pete had made a very big thing, this week, of ensuring that Stede would come to the match. Every half an hour he would sidle up to Stede just to check, just to make sure, and Stede had thought it very sweet and slightly worrying evidence for how much the boy was missing Ed. Now, he feels distinctly stage-managed.
