Summary
For centuries, the tales of half fish people have persisted. Everyone one had heard of these ‘mermaids’ but only those who had lived in the fishing towns would ever be bombarded by them. Everyone else just thought they were a saying, something to people said to one another and not something actually real.

Summary
Once again, Batman and the Bat-boys are captured by cultists who are in the midst of summoning something terrible. The eldritch abomination that appears is horrific beyond imagining. Or, at least, it appears so. Jason is quickly beginning to think that the monster they summoned is much more scared of them than they are of it.

The horrifying abomination laid out the last of the cultists, who were all either groaning on the ground or long since fled, and turned on them – focused on them-- and suddenly they were out of time.
The others were struggling out of their bonds, snapping at each other. Batman was shouting, trying to keep the thing’s attention on him.
Except as it advanced on them snarling, the strange confusion, almost noise and flashes of light and visions and feelings in Jason’s chest sharpened and suddenly became clear.
It was like staring at words in a foreign language only to suddenly and inexplicably be able to read them.
The fear . . .
It wasn’t Jason’s
The bizarre phantasm loomed over them, howling and gnashing its fangs.
. . . And utterly terrified.
The others were shouting.
Jason stood up straight and shouted louder, trying to be heard over the cacophony of the storm, “YOU’RE ALRIGHT! EVERYTHING’S OKAY!”
Everyone, including the phantasm, paused. Even the raging storm slowed just a little, becoming a tiny bit less violent.
“You’re alright!” he repeated loudly.
Jason took a deep breath, praying he was right, that he was understanding correctly and kept his eyes directly on the terrifying specter as he said, “You don’t have to be afraid. No one here is going to hurt you.”

Summary
Danny works at the Watchtower as a Technician/Mechanic, although being scouted out specifically by the Big Black Bat himself seems to make it hard for him to get along with his higher ups apparently.
Along the way danny gets a traffic light colored duckling that follows him around every-once-in-a-while.
