My take on a rewrite of the first season of Netflix's Devil May Cry in the format of a screenplay. Based on the work by Alex Larsen, Studio Mir, and the many other skilled and talented artists who worked on this show.
"In a time when it seems mankind is losing sight of what it means to be human, a demon rises from the Underworld to usher in the apocalypse.
Humanity's hope now lies in 'Tony Redgrave', a stylish demon hunter with unnatural abilities and a devil-may-care attitude.
While he and Special Agent Mary Ann Arkham attempt to foil this invasion from Hell, the White Rabbit and his infernal entourage force them to face their own inner demons.
Can mankind be redeemed and saved from damnation? Or will they listen to the devil whispering in their ears?"
⚠️ I may make minor changes to chapters after publishing them to better flesh out the story. If they are notable enough, I will leave notes at the end of each chapter that explain the changes I made. I will NOT alter important plot points that would require anyone to reread previous chapters. ⚠️

“Yes, those are actions we can take using energy.” Vergil agreed. “But that is not the base responsibility. It functions to keep you alive. It is your power. Your strength, just as is your blood. You know if you lose too much blood, you will lose consciousness. The same thing happens if you overexert yourself and use up more energy than you have to support yourself. And you,” Vergil paused as his head turned to look Nero in the eyes, which Nero reluctantly met as he twisted to look over at him, “were flaunting a lot of your abilities this week.”

Summary
