Catra's first memory is cold and wet and silent.
It’s not technically her first. She was aware of things before – a myriad of things, of minds, of heartbeats in sync with hers. The Agency. She learned that from her screens, the same as she learned language and math and biology.
Analytically she knows that all those heartbeats were different people, that she herself is a person, but the difference was paper thin, superficial. It seemed to matter very little within the confines of the Agency, the network that connects them all. Their thoughts were Catra’s, her memories theirs. And it was perfect.
Until it was gone.

First work: Mike&Will friendship from kindergarten, through school and the beginnings of the Party, until the Mind Flayer (end of Season 2)
Second work: El and Will's adjusting to the start of high school (sibling piece)
Third work: Mike/Will at the end of high school, with focus on them, Holly and El.Based on the idea that these three form a nice character triangle - and not even necessarily in the romantic sense: Will&El have some of the greatest character parallels in the show, among them being that they first call out to Mike when they are trapped in the Upside Down. They can help each other up, in some ways more than the rest of the Party can. The second two stories feature a lot of Will and El talking to each other, since that is still sorely lacking from the show.
