Mahina and Astarion could not dislike each other more. Forced to endure the other's company while they look for a way to rid themselves of the illithid tadpoles, mutual mistrust causes them to be at each other's throats...but when you're at someone's throat, you're close enough to look them in the eye. Perhaps, under the masks, they like what they see?
