“Come with me.” She interrupted, voice so quiet she was almost convinced he’d keep talking, but the way his brow furrowed told her he had heard her. And that he thought she was insane. “If there’s an answer for me, there’s an answer for you, right? A body for you. The Relic is dormant now, yeah? So I just, we can- I can find something- an answer- a way. Anything. Just- stay.”
After doing the fuckin' impossible and soloing the basement of Arasaka tower, storming Mikoshi on her own two feet, V is met with an answer she never wanted to hear. It was too late; there was nothing to be done. She was dying.
When Johnny refuses to take the body instead, she makes a deal. Johnny returns to the Relic, and V gets three months to find him a body. If she fails? She will plug him back into the net to disappear beyond the Blackwall.
Determined to find a happy ending in the city that never gets one, V fights to find Johnny a body. And after that? Working together to find a cure for her.

Summary
V is an amazing netrunner but everyone dismisses it. He is determined to get Johnny out of his head even with his own hands, but maybe he don't want to loose his closest "Friend" forever again.
This fic will contain some cyberpunk mumbo-jumbo and jumps around in the story so that I can set up the divergence, so you probably won't understand if you are not VERY familiar with the game and the DLC (Phantom liberty).
